"Come over for dinner." Song Jinzhi was stunned for a moment before remembering why she had come over. Hearing her call out to her, Gu Sijiu patted the sheepdog's head affectionately and prepared to wash her hands. To her surprise, the sheepdog, Han Han, unexpectedly developed a bond with her and even bit onto the hem of her skirt, refusing to let go. Seeing this scene, Song Jinzhi's expression soured because since she had arrived, Han Han had not shown any affection towards her but instead clung to Gu Sijiu.

With a cold huff, Song Jinzhi turned away without even glancing at Han Han. Everyone has their little tempers, right?

During dinner, Song's parents had the servants prepare many dishes that Gu Sijiu liked, mostly meat-based dishes. Gu Sijiu wasn't sure if the original owner really liked these dishes, but she herself detested these meat dishes. The meats, although of excellent quality, were not cooked exceptionally well, making them somewhat hard to swallow.

Gu Sijiu often cooked for herself in the past and believed her culinary skills, while not on par with a five-star chef, were certainly decent. However, many dishes in this world completely shattered her expectations of food. To make matters worse, Song Jinzhi's mother enthusiastically served her a bowl of meat, and Gu Sijiu chewed through it like it was wax, her expression becoming increasingly vacant as she ate.

Song Jinzhi, sitting beside her, noticed Gu Sijiu's reaction and found it amusing that she looked so disheartened while eating. After dinner, Song Jinzhi's mother suggested that both of them stay the night. She wanted Song Jinzhi and Gu Sijiu to sleep together, but Song Jinzhi insisted that Gu Sijiu should sleep in the guest room.

"Xiao Gu, just rest in the guest room for the night." Song Jinzhi's father, confused by her insistence on separate sleeping arrangements, exchanged glances with Song's mother. Understanding his cue, she instructed a servant to take Gu Sijiu to the guest room, while she led Song Jinzhi to their bedroom to speak.

"Mom, I'm really tired and want to rest." Song Jinzhi could tell that her mother had something to say, and it definitely wasn't something she wanted to hear. Song Jinzhi's mother glanced at her with a somewhat displeased expression.

"You, my child, it's been so long since I've seen you, I'm just concerned. I just want to ask, have you and Xiao Gu not mated yet? And during your previous heat cycles, were you using suppressants?" Song Jinzhi's mother was experienced, she knew that Omegas would lose their rationality during heat cycles, focusing solely on intimacy. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and she thought her daughter, who had found a suitable partner, wouldn't be troubled by this anymore. But now, it seemed things were not as she had hoped.

"Mom, I... I'm not ready for that yet." Song Jinzhi didn't expect her mother to bring up that kind of topic right away, her face turning red with embarrassment. As a normal Omega, Song Jinzhi experienced the heat cycles that every Omega goes through. She understood how difficult it could be to endure, when she had lived with Gu Sijiu, she had been especially cautious during those times.

She would take suppressants in advance to control her pheromones, even avoiding opening her door to go out for meals, terrified that Gu Sijiu might lose control if she caught a whiff of her scent. She remembered one time when Gu Sijiu barged in, attempting to mark her while she was in heat. If she hadn't threatened to jump out the window, she feared she might have been forcibly marked. Thinking of all this, Song Jinzhi felt both helpless and angry. She was frustrated by her powerlessness as an Omega, yet saddened that she couldn't have a partner who genuinely liked her. Her gloomy expression didn't go unnoticed, and after a comforting pat on the shoulder, her mother left without saying more.

That night Song Jinzhi slept soundly, finally back home after a long absence, and she unprecedentedly slept in until 10 in the morning. She threw on some clothes and went downstairs, only to find Gu Sijiu chatting happily with her parents downstairs. They seemed to be having a great conversation, laughing together from time to time.

"Xiao Jin, you're finally awake. I was just discussing with your dad about going to a hot springs resort for a day. It's owned by one of your dad's classmates and hasn't opened yet, so we can be the first to try it out." Song Jinzhi's mother said with a smile upon seeing Song Jinzhi come downstairs. Gu Sijiu felt a bit excited, she thought the hot springs in this world might be better than those in her own world, so she naturally wanted to give it a try.

Song Jinzhi instinctively wanted to refuse, especially not wanting to go with Gu Sijiu. But when she looked up and saw the determined expressions on her parents' faces, along with Gu Sijiu's eager look, it was clearly a 3-to-1 situation, leaving her with no chance. With no other option, she nodded in agreement, and they all quickly decided to go.

When it was time to get in the car, Gu Sijiu and Song Jinzhi sat in Uncle Zhang's car, while Song's parents took another vehicle.

The hot springs resort was located in a relatively remote area, requiring a two-hour drive without traffic. Gu Sijiu and Song Jinzhi got into the car, with Uncle Zhang habitually turning on the air purifier. Gu Sijiu glanced at Song Jinzhi sitting on the other side, then closed her eyes to rest.

After learning about pheromones and heat cycles, Gu Sijiu finally understood how sensitive Alphas and Omegas were to each other's scents. She recalled how she used to think that Song Jinzhi smelled really good, and at times, she thought it was a mistake. But in reality, Song Jinzhi did smell very appealing. It was a scent that was highly attractive to her, and every time she caught a whiff of it, Gu Sijiu wanted to move closer to take a deep breath or get closer to Song Jinzhi.

Over two hours later, the two arrived at the so-called hot springs resort as planned. They intended to wait downstairs for Song Jinzhi's parents, but the receptionist eagerly led them upstairs instead. On the way, Gu Sijiu observed the resort, although it was in a remote location, the decor was excellent, with high-quality wooden floors that had no lingering smell of processed materials, only a faint fragrance.

The pair planned to meet up with Song Jinzhi's parents first, but the receptionist informed them that they were the only guests at the resort, and the elderly couple hadn't arrived. At that moment, Song Jinzhi finally sensed something was amiss and quickly dialed her father's number. The call was promptly answered, as if they had been expecting her call.

"Dad, Gu Sijiu and I are here, but the receptionist said you two aren't here..."

"Uh... it's like this. Your mom and I were following behind you, but something came up at the company, so we had to head back. You two enjoy yourselves, and I'll send Uncle Zhang to pick you up tomorrow afternoon." her father said before hurriedly hanging up. Song Jinzhi stared at her phone's black screen in shock, completely unprepared for her parents to use such tactics to get her and Gu Sijiu together.

She understood the implication of her father's words—Uncle Zhang had already left. In this remote area, they wouldn't be able to call for a car. In the past, Song Jinzhi could have had her secretary come to pick her up, but now... it had been a while since she last worked at the Song family company, and her father had surely instructed that no one should come pick her up. The thought of this gave her a headache, especially since it meant she might have to share a room with Gu Sijiu tonight.

"What's wrong? They're not coming?" Gu Sijiu asked, sensing something was off from Song Jinzhi's conversation. Song Jinzhi didn't explain much, only saying that they weren't coming and stepped into the reception room. She asked the receptionist if there were any other rooms available, but the receptionist replied that all the other rooms were locked, and there were no keys. This meant that the only room available for them was this one.

Looking at the double bed in the room, Song Jinzhi felt a chill. She finally understood her parents' intentions, they not only wanted her to stay with Gu Sijiu but also to share the same room. They were clearly putting a lot of thought into this. She placed her belongings in the room, pondering what to do tonight. Gu Sijiu, however, seemed less concerned. She lazily leaned back on the sofa and stretched her body.

"Wooden face, I'm going to soak in the hot spring first, do you want to join me?" Gu Sijiu glanced at the time, not feeling very hungry and not planning to eat anything, decided to relax in the hot spring for a while. Hearing her say this, Song Jinzhi looked at her guardedly, noticing her gaze, Gu Sijiu ran her hand through her hair and lightly snorted at her.

"It was just a casual question, if you don't want to go, then don't. A beautiful and fragrant Alpha like me can't just casually bathe with an Omega." Gu Sijiu said deliberately. She understood Song Jinzhi's disdain for the original owner but couldn't take the blame for that person's past actions. Gu Sijiu grabbed her toiletries and turned to leave. Watching her retreating figure, Song Jinzhi tightly clutched the bed sheet, her brows furrowing.

She knew that not bathing tonight was definitely not an option, but the pajamas prepared here were all bathrobes, and it was clearly unsafe to wear that kind of clothing while sharing a room with Gu Sijiu.

Song Jinzhi contemplated what to do in her mind, sitting in the room for over an hour. Seeing that Gu Sijiu hadn't returned yet, she became curious about where she had gone for so long. It wasn't that she cared about her, but since they had come out together, if something unexpected happened to her, she would also be in trouble. With that in mind, Song Jinzhi got up and walked towards the hot spring pool.

She pushed aside the curtain and was quickly flushed by the hot steam inside, walking in, she saw a blurry figure lying halfway in the hot spring pool, apparently Gu Sijiu had fallen asleep while soaking. Perhaps due to soaking for too long, her fair cheeks were steamed red by the hot water, a few traces of water remaining on her delicate nose, her dark cherry-colored long hair spread out in the water, giving her a different kind of beauty. The sleeping Gu Sijiu seemed harmless, making it impossible for anyone to associate her with the former aggressive scumbag.

Song Jinzhi only stayed for a while and found the hot spring pool to be very hot, permeated with Gu Sijiu's pheromones. The faint scent of mint, mixed with the refreshing lemon, made her head dizzy and her legs weak. Song Jinzhi pinched Gu Sijiu's shoulder hard. Gu Sijiu, who had been sleeping comfortably, was suddenly jolted awake, springing up from the water in shock.

It was then that Song Jinzhi noticed Gu Sijiu's swimsuit. It wasn't particularly revealing, in fact, it was quite the opposite of what she expected. Gu Sijiu wore a light pink one-piece swimsuit, which seemed ordinary at first glance, but there were two cute little strawberry patterns right at the chest area, perfectly positioned. Watching the way the strawberries stood out, it was obvious what was causing that shape.

Song Jinzhi found the scene extremely provocative. Although Gu Sijiu was covered up well and the swimsuit was very conservative, Song Jinzhi still felt that this person was lewd and shameless...
