Song Jinzhi returned to work at the Song's Group and has been in a busy state all along. Rest days were rare for her, and she planned to take some time to buy some daily necessities. In the Song family, such matters were usually handled by servants, but Song Jinzhi didn't like the idea of her personal items being bought by someone else. After having a cup of coffee and tidying up, she headed downstairs.

Gu Sijiu was still lying on the sofa watching TV dramas. Song Jinzhi noticed that those dramas were very boring and clichéd, but this person seemed to enjoy them a lot, sometimes mumbling about them for a long time if she missed an episode. After the incident at the pool, their relationship had eased a bit over the past few days, but they hadn't spoken to each other since. Song Jinzhi wanted to resolve this deadlock, especially since Gu Sijiu's mother's birthday was coming up in a day or two, and she had to at least pretend to get along with Gu Sijiu. But how could she bring herself to apologize? Song Jinzhi couldn't figure it out.

"I'm going to Lingxi Mall. I won't be back for lunch or dinner, so there's no need for the housekeeper to prepare my meals." Song Jinzhi finally spoke up, breaking the silence that had lasted for days. She carefully observed Gu Sijiu's expression and noticed her ears perked up when she heard "Lingxi Mall." Then Gu Sijiu glanced at her, and there was a hint of brightness in her eyes. Seeing that Gu Sijiu was interested, Song Jinzhi inwardly chuckled, realizing that Gu Sijiu couldn't hide her feelings. This might be a turning point where they could slightly improve their relationship.

"I have quite a few things to buy, and it's not convenient for me to carry them alone. Do you want to come help me?" Song Jinzhi said softly, lifting her hair. She wasn't good at extending invitations, especially to Gu Sijiu, which made her feel awkward. But if she didn't take the initiative, she feared it would be difficult for them to end the cold war. On the surface, Song Jinzhi appeared calm, while internally, she was anxious, fearing Gu Sijiu would refuse or say something that would worsen the atmosphere.

"Oh, is that so? Then I'll go with you." Gu Sijiu felt elated when Song Jinzhi invited her. Lingxi Mall was large and had a variety of clothes and food, things Gu Sijiu enjoyed, but she hadn't had the chance to visit before. Hearing Song Jinzhi's invitation, she decided to temporarily ease their cold war. She wasn't a petty person, if it were just a simple argument, Gu Sijiu wouldn't get angry. She simply minded Song Jinzhi's attitude towards her, especially the hurtful words spoken that day.

After Gu Sijiu finished speaking, Song Jinzhi sighed in relief. She sat to the side, waiting for Gu Sijiu to get ready. Song Jinzhi activated the autopilot and immersed herself in a holographic e-book she had recorded earlier, while Gu Sijiu, bored, played a game she had grown tired of.

The journey passed in silence.

Upon arriving at Lingxi Mall, Gu Sijiu seemed to come alive, her eyes sparkling as she looked at the clothes and bags in the displays. Song Jinzhi watched her eagerly wanting to go in, feeling somewhat perplexed. She knew that dressing up and shopping were natural traits for every Omega, but as an Alpha, did Gu Sijiu perhaps care too much about beauty?

Standing at a distance, Song Jinzhi watched as Gu Sijiu chose several dresses, most of which were sexy and alluring—dresses that even some celebrity Alphas rarely wore. Yet Gu Sijiu showed no hesitation in buying them. Seeing her in a red backless dress, posing in front of the mirror, Song Jinzhi suddenly realized that Gu Sijiu had a slim waist and a beautifully shaped backside, perfectly suited to the dress.

"Do I look good?" Gu Sijiu asked, admiring her beautiful reflection in the mirror, completely caught up in her own delight. She even forgot about the cold war between her and Song Jinzhi. When Song Jinzhi glanced at the nearby clerk, who had a teasing expression, she felt an indescribable shyness and embarrassment. Yes, she had forgotten one thing, she was an Omega, and Gu Sijiu was an Alpha. For the two of them to go shopping together like this was almost like a date.

"Um, yeah, you look fine." Song Jinzhi replied casually. Gu Sijiu was lost in her own beauty and didn't notice the faint blush on her cheeks. Gu Sijiu bought all the clothes, shoes, and bags she liked, happily handing several shopping bags over to an AI robot to have them delivered home. Once she had bought enough, Song Jinzhi took her to the household goods section, which sold daily necessities and the freshest ingredients. Most of Song Jinzhi's daily essentials were purchased here.

"I'm going to buy some daily necessities. Do you need anything?" Song Jinzhi asked Gu Sijiu. In her view, their relationship had eased somewhat, and it was polite to check in on each other while shopping. It was not about their relationship but rather about courtesy. Gu Sijiu glanced toward the less crowded area and saw some fresh produce.

"Is that where they sell ingredients?" Gu Sijiu pointed, and upon hearing her question, Song Jinzhi nodded. She didn't quite understand why Gu Sijiu wanted to go there, she thought Gu Sijiu wouldn't be interested in ingredients.

"Then I'll go check out the ingredients." Gu Sijiu said. Upon hearing "ingredients," her eyes sparkled again. She took a shopping cart that followed her automatically and looked around, seeing all kinds of exquisite ingredients. She wasn't sure how many years this world differed from her original one, but she was certain that the quality of ingredients here was incomparable to her previous world.

The vegetables looked exceptionally fresh, and the meat was top-notch. Gu Sijiu gazed at the ingredients and finally felt that her appetite, which had been lacking lately, was saved. Gu Sijiu's image often misled people, she didn't look like someone who could cook, but in fact, her culinary skills surpassed many hotel chefs.

Gu Sijiu was a clean freak, not just in relation to her past relationships and daily habits, but also when it came to food. She didn't order takeout because she didn't trust the food made outside and couldn't bring herself to eat it. In such circumstances, Gu Sijiu had no choice but to teach herself how to cook, even going so far as to learn knife skills and cooking techniques.

Since coming to this world, Gu Sijiu hadn't had the chance to eat anything delicious. The rapid technological advancements here had led humanity to abandon many basic desires, including the pleasure of good food. Satisfied with her selection of ingredients, Gu Sijiu planned to treat herself to a nice meal that evening. She was so focused on choosing that she didn't even notice when Song Jinzhi came to find her.

Standing not far away, Song Jinzhi watched Gu Sijiu comparing two different types of meat, then selecting one she was satisfied with. Although she didn't understand why Gu Sijiu was buying so many ingredients, it was the first time she had seen Gu Sijiu so serious about something. The light in the supermarket cast shadows and highlights across Gu Sijiu's profile, and occasionally, she would tuck her hair behind her ear, releasing her pheromones into the air.

The scent was pleasant and comforting, belonging to Gu Sijiu, a fragrance that made Song Jinzhi say she hated it yet found herself unable to resist. Instinctively, Song Jinzhi moved closer to Gu Sijiu, and at that moment, Gu Sijiu looked up and smiled at her. Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled in a way that felt enchanting, and Song Jinzhi stared, completely lost in thought without realizing she was zoning out while looking at Gu Sijiu.

"Are you done shopping? Where to next? I'm feeling a bit hungry." Gu Sijiu said, rubbing her stomach and feeling her abs through her dress, causing her mind to wander for a moment. Upon hearing her mention hunger, Song Jinzhi also felt the urge to eat. She had originally planned to buy some items and then head to the newly opened restaurant upstairs, and now seemed like a perfect time.

"Let's go to the restaurant upstairs. A friend told me it just opened and it's pretty good." Song Jinzhi said, taking the lead. Hearing about a good restaurant made Gu Sijiu suddenly curious about what the food would taste like. Once they reached the upstairs restaurant, they went straight to the entrance, where the waiter greeted them with a smile and invited them in.

Inside, Song Jinzhi realized that this was likely a high-end restaurant specifically designed for couples. The restaurant featured a shared area in the middle and several private booths. It was suspended on the top floor of Lingxi Mall, with a glass floor allowing views of the night scenery below, and a starry sky ceiling above. Each booth had floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the beautiful night view. The atmosphere was lovely, but it felt a bit unsuitable for her and Gu Sijiu. Unfortunately, since they were already there, Song Jinzhi couldn't suggest leaving.

"Ladies, please place your orders. Here is our new couple's meal, perfect for Alphas and Omegas. The set menus are categorized as Passionate, Sweet, and Romantic." the waiter said as he approached them. Hearing the names of the meal sets made Song Jinzhi feel a bit embarrassed, mentally complaining about the ridiculous restaurant Jing Yu had recommended. Gu Sijiu curiously looked at the three meal options, eager to know what the Passionate meal contained.

With hidden intentions, Song Jinzhi wanted to suggest ordering a regular set, but unfortunately, the restaurant didn't offer any sets that weren't for couples. Song Jinzhi sighed, then reluctantly ordered the 'Sweet' set, but noticed Gu Sijiu's gaze fixed on the 'Passionate' set, looking eager to try it. To prevent her from ordering that, Song Jinzhi hurriedly dismissed the waiter.

"I think the 'Passionate' set would be better, why not order that?" Gu Sijiu boldly said. Song Jinzhi, after hearing this, couldn't be bothered to respond. Passionate, really? She definitely didn't want to engage in anything passionate with Gu Sijiu, even though the other two sets, 'Sweet' and 'Romantic,' were off-putting, they were still better than 'Passionate.'

After a while, the waiter who had been dismissed by Song Jinzhi returned, smiling at the two of them, and said something that left both of them stunned.

"Congratulations, you two are the 99th couple to dine here today, and you are today's lucky couple. Our restaurant has a promotion: if you share a passionate kiss for 9 minutes, you will get your meal for free."
