Gu Sijiu slept exceptionally well that night. In the morning, she got up, took a shower, and went to the original owner's wardrobe to find some casual clothes to wear. However, she soon realized that her idea was completely unnecessary. The original owner was a nominal major general, and apart from military uniforms, the wardrobe only contained more military uniforms, mostly long pants and long-sleeved shirts, all designed to completely wrap the body tightly. Most of the shoes were military boots, the kind that Gu Sijiu wouldn't spare a second glance at when she saw them on the street in the past, typical straight-laced styles that were not appealing to her.

Standing in the dressing room, Gu Sijiu was troubled. She felt she should respect the original owner's taste, but she wasn't some Alpha. She was a genuine woman and couldn't appreciate these clothes. Moreover, the original owner was not tall, looked quite slender, with a delicate face, making the military uniform look awkward on her.

Disdainfully looking at the clothes filling the room, Gu Sijiu ultimately settled on a set of athletic wear, which was loose and somewhat comfortable. Once downstairs, she noticed that the housekeeper had indeed left. Song Jinzhi was sitting at the table, looking at the holographic projection in front of her, which displayed recent news and some financial reports.

Thinking about what had happened last night, Gu Sijiu felt she should be grateful to Song Jinzhi for helping her with the ointment. However, recalling what Song Jinzhi had said before leaving, her gratitude quickly faded. She walked over and casually greeted her with a "good morning." Song Jinzhi didn't respond at all. Seeing her expression, Gu Sijiu muttered under her breath about her "wooden face." The comment was loud enough for Song Jinzhi to hear. She frowned slightly but didn't react in any special way, continuing to look down at the financial reports and occasionally sipping her coffee.

Gu Sijiu had no intention of provoking Song Jinzhi further. Since last night, or perhaps even earlier, she had sensed that there were issues between Song Jinzhi and the original owner. Their relationship was too rigid, they couldn't even be considered friends, let alone engaged partners. Gu Sijiu had wanted to get along with Song Jinzhi, but it was clear that Song Jinzhi had no such plans. She didn't understand the history between Song Jinzhi and the original owner. and since the other party didn't want to engage with her, she saw no reason to try to warm up to someone who was cold to her.

Gu Sijiu casually ate a few bites of breakfast, planning to rummage through what the original owner had left behind to see if she could find any memories. She went to the study and activated the holographic computer on her wristwatch. Looking at the jumbled files with random names, she flipped through them one by one until she found some photos in a hidden folder. The photos were clearly taken secretly, featuring Song Jinzhi alongside various Alphas and Betas.

As she looked at these photos, Gu Sijiu felt bewildered. She couldn't understand why the original owner would secretly photograph Song Jinzhi. Going through them one by one, she couldn't grasp the significance of these photos. Gu Sijiu stood up intending to pour a glass of water and take a break before looking at them again. As she got up, a sudden surge of sourness and swelling hit her brain, causing her vision to darken. Images slowly pieced together in her darkened sight, gradually forming scattered memories.

This seems to be about the memories of the original owner and Song Jinzhi. The content is incomplete, and it's not clear how the original owner and Song Jinzhi met. The first scene shows the two at their engagement party, where they seemed somewhat disconnected. However, Song Jinzhi wasn't as resistant to the original owner back then, she simply spoke less and didn't exhibit the current level of hatred.

However, the scene quickly shifts to the night of the engagement banquet. The original owner was very drunk, and Song Jinzhi helped her back to the room, kindly helping her change clothes, only to inadvertently discover that the original owner had a "physical defect."  For any Alpha, the absence of the primary characteristic is a closely guarded secret and the original owner's biggest taboo, touching on this would inevitably trigger her fury.

The original owner suddenly woke up, pushed Song Jinzhi to the ground, shouted wildly, questioning her for acting without permission. After that, the original owner behaved like a lunatic, sarcastically mocking Song Jinzhi, occasionally even resorting to physical vio.lence. Omega bodies are much weaker than Alphas, and Song Jinzhi would often get hurt by her. Along with the original owner's taunts, Song Jinzhi's disappointment grew, and her demeanor became increasingly cold.

The final memory was from the day Gu Sijiu arrived in this world. Song Jinzhi was conversing with an Alpha at work, which the original owner happened to witness. This was the most intense argument between them, during which the original owner struck Song Jinzhi, nearly choking her to death. If Song Jinzhi hadn't hit her head with a vase, she surely would have been in serious danger.

Recalling these memories left Gu Sijiu feeling furious, her face turning pale. Her body trembled, and she felt a strong urge to confront the original owner, a deeply flawed person. The original owner's actions towards Song Jinzhi were no different from those of abusive husbands toward their wives. Gu Sijiu despised such people the most, and now she found herself in this world as someone who had been abusive.

What was most unbearable for Gu Sijiu was that as she recalled these events, she could clearly sense the original owner's excitement during these actions. Her mind twisted like those castrated eunuchs, deriving pleasure from tormenting Song Jinzhi and seeing her unhappy.

After recalling these past events, Gu Sijiu felt utterly unwell. She stayed in the study all day, pondering what she should do now. If possible, she wished she could return to her own world immediately. However, she knew deep down that returning was impossible, at least for now, she couldn't find a way back.

After much thought, she decided to have a serious talk with Song Jinzhi, not for reconciliation—given the original owner's actions, reconciliation was impossible—but to give her a reassuring promise. With this in mind, Gu Sijiu walked to Song Jinzhi's door once more, but this time she didn't feel as relaxed as the night before.

"Miss Song, are you there? I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Could you please come to the living room?" Gu Sijiu spoke politely this time. Song Jinzhi, who was reading in her room, paused at her words, trying to figure out what trick Gu Sijiu was playing. She glanced at the time, realizing the housekeeper would be arriving soon, and not worried that Gu Sijiu was up to something, she opened the door and went downstairs with her.

"Miss Song, we've had some unpleasant moments between us. Due to this recent accident, I've lost some memories. I'm sorry for the trouble I may have caused you in the past." Gu Sijiu said, planning to use the universal excuse of amnesia, as she genuinely couldn't recall everything the original owner had experienced. She noticed that after she finished speaking, Song Jinzhi was momentarily taken aback before returning to her previous indifference and sarcasm. Gu Sijiu knew that Song Jinzhi held a lot of suspicion towards the original owner, and whatever she said now would likely be dismissed as a lie.

"You say you've lost your memory? Do you think I would easily believe you? Or do you think that what you've done can be overlooked with just a claim of amnesia?" Song Jinzhi replied disdainfully, clearly unimpressed with Gu Sijiu. She believed this person would always blame others for any issues and never reflect on her own faults. It was likely that even now, she thought she had done nothing wrong and that her current situation was entirely self-inflicted.

"Time will prove that I genuinely intend to coexist peacefully with you. Once my injuries heal, I will move to the military camp." Gu Sijiu stated. She didn't want to escalate the situation, but she also couldn't continue to take the blame for the original owner and endure Song Jinzhi's reproaches. In Gu Sijiu's view, Song Jinzhi's personality and approach to situations were exactly what she had always disliked. Their attributes were completely opposed. The solution Gu Sijiu had found was to live separately from Song Jinzhi, which would prevent any further conflicts. Just as she finished speaking, a voice came from the doorway.

"Without my permission, you're not allowed to go anywhere!"
