Evie never expected to see Wen Qiulan at the same bar as her. Quietly following a few colleagues, her expression was not as gentle as usual, appearing quiet and unapproachable. Wen Qiulan wasn't wearing a dress, instead, she had on a formal white suit and pants, complemented by white high heels. Her long black hair was styled to one side, and her makeup was more exquisite than usual.

This was the first time Evie had seen Wen Qiulan dressed like this. She had always thought Wen Qiulan seemed too gentle, often overlooking the fact that she was actually an Alpha. But now, in her high heels, she appeared much taller, and the cold, elegant makeup completely changed her aura. With her lips painted a shade of red lipstick, she occasionally opened her mouth to speak to those around her. Perhaps because she disliked bars, her smile didn't have the usual warmth. While she would occasionally smile in response to others, that smile... if Evie had to describe it in one word, it would be flir.tatious.

Wen Qiulan rarely smiled like this. Usually, she would look at you softly and smile into your eyes. Now, with a glass of red wine in her hand, her distracted demeanor made her eyes seem a bit hazy. The corner of her mouth curled up into a lazy yet simple smile that somehow radiated an inexplicable intensity. Evie thought that if it weren't for the current situation, even she might be swayed by Wen Qiulan's smile.

For a moment, Evie was lost in thought and even forgot about Angela beside her until Angela grabbed her wrist, reminding Evie that there was still trouble nearby. Evie didn't want to cause a scene with Angela here. On one hand, she wasn't ready to confront Wen Qiulan about everything, and on the other hand, she didn't want Wen Qiulan to know she had come to the bar at night.

"Ms. Angela, do you have something else to say? If you still need money, you can contact Dionysus directly." Evie said quietly, her tone laced with impatience. Hearing this, Angela's expression faltered. She admitted that part of why she was reluctant to let go of Evie was not only because Evie was beautiful and sexy but also because of money. Being so bluntly exposed made Angela's face flush for a moment before she gradually regained her composure.

"Evie, I really like you—not just because of the money. I've heard about you, I don't mind being one of your many lovers." Angela hinted at something as her gaze lingered ambiguously on Evie's face. Hearing such shameless words made Evie deeply regret ever getting involved with this "fly."

If anyone were to blame, it could only be Angela's deceptive beauty and charm. She was a violinist, and that day when Evie noticed her in the bar, it was because of the lazy and carefree vibe she exuded. Little did Evie know that once they got into bed together, it would be a completely different story—she was utterly inconsistent in character. Evie felt disgusted, It felt like a romantic online relationship falling apart upon meeting in person. That night, she had only briefly engaged with Angela before wanting to completely sever ties. She thought Angela would be self-aware enough to understand, instead, she turned out to be greedy.

"You may not mind, but I do. There are many people who catch my eye, but you don't deserve it." Evie didn't hide her disdain. Today, she was wearing high heels, towering over Angela by half a head. Angela's hands trembled with anger as she recklessly grabbed a drink from nearby and splashed it directly onto Evie's face. The ice cubes hit her forehead, causing a sharp sting. Evie couldn't believe someone would dare to treat her this way. The anger bubbling up inside made her want to have the bodyguards drag Angela away immediately, but Angela still held onto her hand and smiled.

"Evie, this drink is a toast from me to you." Angela tugged at herself and was about to walk out, but Evie didn't know what else she planned to do and began to struggle. The last thing she wanted was for things to escalate here, but clearly, this idiot Angela had already disturbed 90% of the people in the bar, including Wen Qiulan, who seemed to have noticed the commotion and was walking over in their direction.

Evie knew she looked utterly disheveled right now,  and the annoyance and anxiety in her heart made her extremely frustrated at the source of this trouble. Evie had learned self-defense and she could easily handle Angela. Just as she was about to teach her a lesson, she noticed Wen Qiulan was already quite close. Evie hesitated for a moment, instantly loosening her grip and feeling helpless as Angela pulled her body.

"Let go of me, let go of me..." Evie whispered, casting a glance at the bodyguards approaching. They understood and stepped back from the crowd. Angela didn't notice Evie's gesture, she reached out to forcibly drag Evie out. At that moment, a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist with such force that Angela found herself unable to move. She caught a whiff of the other person's pheromones and confirmed that it was an Alpha. When she turned around, she came face to face with Wen Qiulan.

"What are you doing here? Let go of me." Angela hadn't expected someone like Wen Qiulan to appear in a bar. The two had a past as exes, but strictly speaking, they had only met once during a blind date, and had spoken no more than five times since then, they weren't even considered friends. Angela looked displeased at her own hand being held, not understanding why Wen Qiulan was meddling in her business.

"Ms. Angela, isn't it disrespectful to confront an Omega in a bar and even splash wine on her? Don't you think that behavior is inappropriate?" Wen Qiulan had also just noticed the commotion earlier. Initially, she was alerted by a friend who mentioned there was some pulling at the bar. At that time, she hadn't recognized one of the people involved was Evie. It wasn't until she saw Angela splashing a drink on another person that she realized the Omega in trouble was Evie. Although she didn't know how Evie came into contact with Angela, seeing her being bullied made Wen Qiulan disregard those questions and rush over without a second thought.

"When did my affairs with her become your concern? Let go of me." Angela tried to break free from Wen Qiulan's grip, but no matter how much she struggled, there was no sign of escape. Shocked, Angela thought that Wen Qiulan usually appeared gentle and refined, she assumed the other person wouldn't have much strength. Yet just having her wrist held made Angela feel like it might snap. It seemed that Wen Qiulan wasn't even using all her strength.

"She is my student, so of course her matters concern me. Even if I didn't know her, I can't just stand by while an Omega is treated like this in a bar." Wen Qiulan called for a waiter to bring tissues to Evie. Her voice was low, completely different from her usual soft tone, and Evie could feel that Wen Qiulan was genuinely angry.

"Hah... You Alphas sure like to meddle in everything, don't you? What, you want her? If that's the case, just say so, and I'll let you have her." Angela, flustered, spoke without thinking. Hearing her words, Evie felt sick to her stomach, wondering how she had attracted such a "fly." She then noticed Wen Qiulan frowning, clearly also displeased by what Angela had said.

"Ms. Angela, please watch your words and stop insulting others. If you don't want to receive a lawsuit from the Federal Bureau, I suggest you leave now." Wen Qiulan said as she activated her communicator, appearing ready to call the police. Seeing her stance, Angela realized that Wen Qiulan was not joking. Rubbing her wrist, which had been gripped painfully, Angela muttered something under her breath before leaving.

As the commotion ended, Wen Qiulan finally turned to look at Evie. Evie's makeup was smudged from the alcohol, her clothes were stained, and her hair was all wet. Even though she had dried off some with tissues, she still looked quite disheveled. Wen Qiulan had many questions in her mind but knew that now wasn't the time for inquiries, she should focus on getting Evie out of there first.

"Xiao Yi, are you okay? Do you feel unwell? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Wen Qiulan's voice suddenly softened, a stark contrast to her earlier confrontation with Angela. Seeing Wen Qiulan looking at her with concern in her eyes—her brown irises filled with anxiety—made Evie's heart warm. She shook her head and nestled into Wen Qiulan's embrace.

"Teacher Wen, I'm fine. Can you take me out of here? I want to leave."

"Okay, I've already informed my friends. I'll take you out first."

Wen Qiulan led Evie out of the bar. As the wind blew outside, Evie shivered slightly, prompting Wen Qiulan to quickly take off her suit jacket and drape it over Evie's shoulders. The scent belonging to Wen Qiulan enveloped Evie instantly, making her previously terrible mood improve significantly. Wen Qiulan helped Evie into the car but didn't intend to take her home. As an Alpha, it wasn't appropriate for her to be alone with an Omega at night.

Evie also didn't intend to linger with Wen Qiulan tonight, fearing that the other might suspect something about what happened in the bar and didn't want to expose too many flaws. Sitting in her car, Evie thanked Wen Qiulan and then drove away. After watching her leave, Wen Qiulan finally returned to the bar.

Evie's car pulled up to the side of a road not far away. She got out of the car, and immediately several luxury vehicles stopped nearby. Dionysus, holding a newly purchased dress, respectfully helped Evie into one of the cars. After a while, once Evie had changed into the new outfit, draped in Wen Qiulan's white suit, she sat by the car, holding a cigarette, slowly lighting it, and quietly smoking.

Dionysus understood that her lady was not in a good mood right now and stood outside the car without disturbing her. The dim yellow streetlights mixed with the neon lights of the bar illuminated Evie's profile. Her long golden hair hadn't dried yet, draping across her face, and even without makeup, her delicate features were still very beautiful. She squinted her eyes lightly and slowly exhaled a puff of smoke, her eyes sparkling with a lazy yet unmistakable coldness.

"Dionysus, I'll leave tonight's matter to you."

"What kind of outcome does the lady desire?"

"If someone only knows how to splash wine when they have hands, then there's no need to keep them around. I don't want to see her on this planet again."

"Understood, Miss. I'll take care of it right away."
