Evie recovered her mood from the unpleasant events at the bar last night in just one evening. After getting out of bed, she took a nice bath to lift her spirits and asked Dionysus to bring her the suit she had washed from last night. The white women's suit had been stained with red wine, and Evie instructed Dionysus to clean it by any means necessary to restore it to its original state.

Looking at the neatly arranged white suit in front of her, Evie closed her eyes, and she could still faintly sense the light tea scent that Wen Qiulan's clothes had left when she draped them over her. That scent belonged to Wen Qiulan and was an alluring pheromone. Because of Angela's interference, Evie hadn't been able to fully appreciate Wen Qiulan's rare display of strength last night. Thinking about how Wen Qiulan had protected her made Evie raise an eyebrow and smile, it was the first time she realized that Wen Qiulan could be like that with outsiders, which was quite surprising.

There were no piano lessons scheduled for today, but Evie felt it was necessary to see Wen Qiulan regardless. She didn't give any prior notice and directly had Dionysus drive her near Wen Qiulan's little villa. Afterward, she had Dionysus drive away, leaving her to walk the remaining few hundred meters on foot. Evie had her reasons for doing this, she wasn't deliberately hiding her identity, but simply didn't want Wen Qiulan to know about Dionysus's presence.

When she reached the door, Evie stood in front and rang the doorbell, guessing that Wen Qiulan should be home at this time. After a short while, the door opened with a soft click. Evie heard footsteps and saw Wen Qiulan wearing a stunning black-and-white long dress, with pure white gloves on her hands. Evie vaguely thought that Wen Qiulan usually wouldn't dress so specially, so she must be preparing for something.

"Xiao Yi, what brings you here all of a sudden?"

"Teacher Wen, I'm sorry for coming without notifying you. I was afraid that if I told you I wanted to see you, you might not want to meet me, so I came here without permission. Here's your suit, I've cleaned it."

Evie spoke softly as she handed the neatly folded suit to Wen Qiulan. Sensing the nervousness in her voice, Wen Qiulan reached out to take the clothes and invited her inside. She could guess that Evie had come over because of last night's incident, and Wen Qiulan herself had many questions—like why Evie had been alone at the bar and how she had gotten entangled with Angela.

"Xiao Yi, thank you."

"Teacher Wen, you don't need to thank me, this trouble was caused by me in the first place. Do you have some time now? I'd like to explain to you."

Evie glanced at Wen Qiulan's outfit, amazed but trying to suppress her admiration. After hearing Evie's words, Wen Qiulan removed her white gloves, revealing her beautiful hands. Evie had long noticed how lovely Wen Qiulan's hands were. For a pianist, hand care was extremely important, and Wen Qiulan's hands were exceptionally well-maintained. Her long and slender fingers with neatly manicured nails, coated with a light protective polish, were a sight to behold. Seeing Wen Qiulan slightly tilt her head as she removed the gloves made Evie's heart race. She thought that since yesterday, Teacher Wen had been quite flir.tatious.

"Xiao Yi, you don't need to be so nervous, nor do you need to explain what happened last night. Please, have a seat." Wen Qiulan's voice was incredibly gentle. Hearing that she didn't have any doubts about last night's events warmed Evie's heart. She obediently sat down, and before long, Wen Qiulan brought over two cups of coffee. Evie thanked her and slowly sipped the coffee, it was made by Wen Qiulan herself and tasted quite good.

"Teacher Wen, a friend invited me to the bar last night, but after I arrived, they said they couldn't make it. I ended up being stood up and had no choice but to stay there alone. As for Angela, I don't know her well, we met at the bar before, became friends for a while, and then parted ways because I wasn't satisfied. I didn't expect her to continue bothering me, which led to last night's incident."

Evie recited the lines she had prepared in her mind, her tone mostly filled with helplessness. When Wen Qiulan heard that Evie had once been involved with Angela, her brows furrowed slightly, and Evie noticed the change. "Teacher Wen, do you also know Angela? Your conversation last night..." Evie asked knowingly, she was well aware of the relationship between Wen Qiulan and Angela but pretended to be curious as someone who didn't know.

"It's nothing much. Some time ago, she was my blind date. We dated as a couple for a short month, although we weren't really together. I didn't expect her to have such a relationship with you." Wen Qiulan didn't mind this matter too much, she was just somewhat dissatisfied to realize that the person she had been set up with had such a poor character. She silently decided that she needed to be more careful during future blind dates arranged by her mother.

"Teacher Wen, I'm sorry. I didn't know she had that kind of past with you. At that time, she told me she was single, and I... didn't expect her to deceive me. I'm sorry." Hearing Wen Qiulan's words made Evie appear extremely flustered. In reality, her encounter with Angela had only been a one-night stand, and she hadn't cared whether the other person had a partner.

"Xiao Yi, you don't need to worry like this. I wasn't really together with her and there was nothing substantial between us. I just didn't expect her to treat you so disrespectfully at the bar." Remembering the scene from last night where Evie was splashed with wine, Wen Qiulan's expression turned serious. She had been taught by her mother since childhood to respect every Omega and Beta. Even if it hadn't been Evie who was bullied last night, Wen Qiulan wouldn't have turned a blind eye.

"Okay, Teacher Wen, since you're not angry, then I'm fine too. Please don't look so serious." After clarifying the situation, Evie instantly felt relieved. Seeing her change in demeanor made Wen Qiulan smile slightly. She knew that Evie had come specifically to explain and couldn't help but ask why she hadn't just used her communicator instead. Upon hearing this, Evie's face flushed slightly, she touched the rim of her cup and took another sip of coffee before slowly speaking.

"I just feel that these kinds of matters need to be explained face- to-face. I'm really afraid that Teacher Wen might misunderstand me and end up disliking me. I don't want you to hate me." Evie said earnestly as she raised her head to meet Wen Qiulan's brown eyes. Locking eyes with her, Wen Qiulan noticed Evie's seriousness and paused for a moment before smiling at her.

"I understand, Xiao Yi. I don't dislike you, nor will I ever hate you. Are you relieved now?" Wen Qiulan's voice was light, and the affection in her eyes made Evie feel very satisfied. She had dated a few lovers, most of whom were around her age and had carefree personalities, but very few looked at her with the same kind of indulgence as Wen Qiulan did. Evie suddenly thought that being Wen Qiulan's wife would be a very happy thing. Unfortunately, she despised marriage and disliked being tied down.

"Yes, I'm relieved, Teacher Wen. What were you doing just now? Did I interrupt you?" Evie only now asked about this, noticing that Wen Qiulan had just come out of the piano room.

"I happened to have some inspiration today and wrote a piece. When I compose music, I like to have a sense of ritual, so I wear gloves." Wen Qiulan replied. She loved music and enjoyed expressing her inner self through it. Even at home, she would dress formally when it came to composing.

"A new piece? Can I listen to it?" Hearing that Wen Qiulan was composing, Evie felt a spark of interest. Although she wasn't particularly interested in piano pieces, she loved watching Wen Qiulan play the piano. During previous concerts, she had always watched from a distance, and in class, Wen Qiulan rarely dressed so formally to play. Seeing her curiosity, Wen Qiulan nodded and led her into the piano room.

Upon entering, Evie realized that the piano room was much larger than she had imagined. In the center stood a pure white vintage grand piano, which looked well-maintained. Although Evie didn't know much about pianos, she was familiar with luxury items and could tell that this piano was quite expensive. The room also contained a violin and a guitar, with a large drum set in the corner. While there weren't as many instruments as in a piano classroom, there were still quite a few. Evie glanced at the drum set and suddenly became curious about what Wen Qiulan would look like playing the drums.

"Xiao Yi, just sit here." Wen Qiulan gestured for Evie to sit on a comfortable armchair and then stepped into her high heels before slowly walking over to the piano. Evie could feel that from the moment Wen Qiulan sat down, her demeanor changed completely. This was an unfinished piece, it had a light and soothing melody that felt like basking in the sunlight at 3 PM—comfortable yet not too hot.

Watching Wen Qiulan's profile, Evie noticed that she always had a faint smile when playing the piano. Her gloved hands danced swiftly and skillfully over the keys, her long black hair floating gracefully with her movements. It was a beautiful scene that made Evie's heart flutter. Unfortunately, the piece was short, only lasting for three minutes, leaving Evie wanting more.

"Teacher Wen, when this piece is completed, can I be the first audience to hear the complete version?"

"I'm afraid not." Wen Qiulan replied with a furrowed brow upon hearing Evie's request. Evie felt disappointed and let out an unhappy "oh," only to hear Wen Qiulan chuckle lightly afterward.

"The first audience should be myself, but I can let Xiao Yi be the second person in the world to hear this piece."

"Isn't that the same as being the first? Teacher Wen doesn't count." Evie's mood instantly lifted, and she raised an eyebrow at Wen Qiulan, feeling that Teacher Wen was far from being uptight. Once this person started to teasing, she was more enticing than anyone else.

Evie and Wen Qiulan spent the entire afternoon in the piano room, and outside, it had unknowingly started to pour heavily. Watching the downpour, Evie felt great, especially since the news reported that there would be continuous heavy rain and a typhoon from the afternoon until evening. She secretly smiled to herself, thinking that she had made the right decision to come today.
